We got approval letters yesterday from the local Chicago INS. Very quick on their part.
The whole story in short:
RD:3/01
ND:4/01
TD:2/02
Interview letter in Mid August (after congresswoman's office intervened)
Interview date: 10/16
Fingerprionts had expired. They issued fingerprint notices for us right then, and we went to an ASC and got our fingerprints done on 10/16. The officer, as she had promised us, checked for them on 10/21 and approved the cases on the same day. We recd the letters yesterday in mail. Now we just need to go to local office and get our passports stamped.
It was stressful and this forum has been extremely helpful.
Good luck to all waiting for the BIG day!
