Dear Friends,
My I-140 got approved last week and i am going to start the I-485 process. My question is,my wife is pregnant now and she can\'t take the vaccination required for I-485 application filing now. Is it possible to apply for I-485 for her also now?

How best i can handle this situation?

Thanks a lot.

You can file for medical test exemption

While filing for your I-485 you can file for medical test exemption.
INS will process and possibily approve your I-485 before your wife\'s.

INS will send you another letter after the time frame you specified for medical exemption ends.

For one of my friends in a similar situation, he filed for the
exemption and then later the INS sent another letter for medical
tests. At that time as well he filed another medical exemption as
the vaccination can not be done during breast feeding.

After second INS request for medical test, the medical results were
submitted and she got her I-485 approved.

The only situation to remember here is "Apply for AP as well as EAD
for her". This is because her GC could take as long as 1-1/2 years.

I don\'t think this is a smart question

This question answers itself :)
Of course! Do you think a pregnant immigration petitioner will be retarded to file I-485 just because she\'s pregnant and can\'t take some vaccines? Funny! If it should happen in USA, I would not have applied for a green card!
Your immi. med. exam doctor will take care of the paper work for you.

She can file for I-485

A pregnent women can of course file for I-485. However in order
to approve I-485 you have to submit medical tests to INS. INS
can not approve a case without medical tests. So you just have
to wait under such situations.

So it is not INS to blame in this case :).
