Bravo,

Pramavir1, did you notice something important on paragraph 2. It's states:

In addition to the I-90 application, applicants are encouraged to send a copy of the I-797 (Notice of Action) issued for the application that led to the most recent issuence of the permanent resident card.

I'm not going to elaborate but it's of great significance.

Free100,

Read the press release in it's entirety. I can't elaborate but Notice of Action, I-797 is very important.

there is no such request (I-797) for backdate issue...you only need to send back the card

Paramvir1,
I am glad they came out with this. I guess I filed I-90 too quickly :)

But it presents a dilemma now. According to the press release, I could call the cust. service to get a refund. I hope they follow through on this.

A bigger issue is that, given their history, I am afraid that this change of "business process", if you will, will cause some issues with those I-90 applicants filed just prior to this change. I am afraid that all the people handling I-90 on their side may not be aware yet of this change and it could cause some confusion. But hopefully not - for everyone's sake.
