I would like to know if in general GC holders file AR11 form every time they move. For people who work in IT, there might be several moves over a period of time. Isn't it inconvenient to file AR11 for each move?

No exception for IT workers. USCIS doesn't make special treatment by relaxing immigration laws to IT folks.
Even, if you move every 10+ days, you have to file AR-11 to kentucy office as well as last service center approved your 485 in 10 days.
