A# from previous aged out filing inclusion in current filing through US Citizen Spouse?

The i130/485/g325a asks for my Alien Registration Number on current petition through US Citizen Spouse. I was in a student status and later transferred to H-1B so I should not have one except for my OPT which gives a temporary A#, which several sites recommend not to put particularly this one (search on A#):

The question now, is that my adopted mom, Dad's sister, filed the i130 for my family, natural parents and sister and I as derivatives before our adoption in 1988 but I aged out while waiting for the petition to be current in 2001 and was also adopted as of 1989. Will the A# from the 1988 filing apply to me on my current filings even though I got no benefit from the filings and through the adoption, my link to my natural parents have been severed?

If you received an A# from the 1988 green card filing and you know it, reuse it for your new application. That one was meant to stick with you for life, and reusing it on the current forms will help you to avoid the delays associated with multiple A#. You should also include a letter explaining that you also got an A# from your OPT, and list that number so they can locate that file more easily. They'll want to consolidate all your files before granting the green card; it helps you if you make their job easier.

Thanks Jack, then I will have to locate that A#, not sure if an A# is issued at the 130 approval stage for derivatives back in 1988 when it got approved and I aged out since and thus no correspondence from USCIS for me while waiting for visa availability but only for my natural parents who got their green card through that petition.
