A couple of questions on reference letters

Hi!

Moving ahead with the EB-1a process. Thanks again to those (especially civ2ru) who posted very precious information on other threads. The general format of reference letters is very useful.

I asked for a couple of such letters already, but I got questions back: whom should the letter be addressed to? Should it have a specific subject?

Any insight?

Chris

Try,

"U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Nebraska Service Center
[Address you're filing to]

[Date]

To Whom It May Concern,

Thank you for the opportunity to comment on [your name]..."

Worked for me. Good luck!

on the top
do I have to use
"U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Nebraska Service Center"

Can I use
"U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
Texas Service Center"

???

You can put name and address of whichever center you're filing to; then you might get transferred or forwarded to another center - which is what happened to my case - so it doesn't really matter. However, as of last April, all I-140 and I-485 applications are to be submitted to NSC (regardless of where you live) - check the I-140 and I-485 form instructions at www.uscis.gov. Good luck!
