Hi, I am on H1 visa since a year and half.
last mid year I transfered my H1 from company D to company A
recently I noticed that my petetion is with name of company A and my payroll is done from company B.
I called my lawyer and she inquired about the relativity of companies A and B.
the companies are owned by different people probably husband and wife. with different tax IDs.
lawyer said its status violation on my part. but I am not sure if it really is status violation. I got my payroll transfered to company A now.
I have now W2 with company B which never on paper sponcered me.
and also got a letter from company A which says as below..
[That the entity which paid XXX's salary, is an entity called B. This entity is the technology division of A (tax ID #: xxxxx) and most of its technology team is paid through B (tax ID #: yyyyy).]
the letter is notorized and signed by owner of company A.
could this be issue in H1 transfer in future or in greencard application?
