Hello,

I plan to get married. The big question is when I should do that.
My 485 and 140 were filed concurrently in March 2004, the RD is 03/19/2004.

My boyfriend is still on F-1 visa. if we marry before my 485 is approved, can he get approved as a spouse? does USCIS have any other restrictions?

Gurus, Please advise.

Isn't it ironic that USCIS is making the biggest decision, at least the timing of it, for me.

I think I have seen people getting approval who applied after you. I assume you would have completed your fingerprint already.

If so, as unitednations suggested, take a time off, go to Vegas and get married.

If you were going to get married anyways then you better drive to Vegas ASAP and take the plunge.

Or if you cannot drive Vegas/Reno, setup a wedding date in local church on weekdays. The whole thing won't take more than a hour.

I was in a similar situation last year. My 485 was filed back in 2002 and my wife then was on F1 visa.We married last year and then I filed for her 485 as dependent and hers was approved after mine. Get married as soon as possible.

Thanks Everyone

We Are Married. And The Processing Date Has Not Moved.

For The First Time, Uscis Did What I Want Them To Do. =)

You are married?? From your first post, you said you plan to get married
