A Bachelors or a Masters in the DV Program: chances

Hello,

I've heard that having a Masters increases your chances of being selected in the DV Lottery Program. If so, any one knows by how much?

I have a Bachelors, and took one year of a Masters program, but never finished it

That's a good question. Would it mean that they actually choose people? I heard that a lot of PhD students were encouraged to register to the lottery and then selected.

kazore, that´s interesting. So far, I´ve seen a couple of previous DV winners state they had a Masters program when they won, but I haven´t seen qualifications from other previous winners.

Is there a way to know the qualifications of some previous DV winners?

OR, could previous winners tell us what qualifications they had when they won?

I have a high school education equivalent to US high school diploma, that is what I had selected while applying for DV-2013. It is the minium requirement for the DV lottery. Luckily, I have been selected. Please wish me best of luck for the interview!

Absolutely not.

Having a masters or a bachelor doesn't increase the chances of being selected.
The most winners I met here were high school or bachelor holders.

If they want more Master and Phd holders immigrate to USA then they will sure make it clear that its the minimum requirement.
