The 999 days of processing time is indeed meaning infinity.
As many of you work in high-tech area, you should have known that 999 is just the maximum number of a pre-determined system number meaning that the INS system can only take up to 3 digits of numbers.

Therefore, if the processing time is more than 999 days, the system only accepts up to 999. The fact is that any number greater than 999 could be the processing time.
1000 days, 2000 days or even 3000 days.

It may be very true that thier system cannot handle more than 3 digits for this field, but that doesn't mean that we can't call and complain when our case has been pending for more than 999 days. Its not our fault that they can't enter an infinity symbol in that field. :D So, we're sure as hell gonna call and complain when our cases reach 999 days.

we go to doctor and get medication. if there is no relief the doctor asks us to try a different one and a different one and a different one. you become a guinea-pig for the moleless doc pig. but do we dare ask why your medication didn't cure me? nope. even if you do that they dont care. same here with TSC. like different medication they keep on asking u to file for ead, ap, ead, ap, ead, and again ap. u keep calling and u get the same answer. pity us the moleless kids of 21st century:(
