I'd really appreciate some help with this as I can't seem to find much information online. I'm a 20 year old, British citizen, and I obtained an L2 beneficiary visa seven months ago - my father was relocated to the US (six months ago) with his company, and so I was granted a visa because I am under 21 years of age.
Last week I submitted an application to get a green card (my mother and father have also applied for green cards and our applications all went in together). I've been told that I must remain in the US for 90 days from the date of this submission. Is this true? Am I really not allowed to leave the US under any circumstances if I want to obtain the green card?
