My current H1B expires Feb 10, 2005. Filed for LC in Connecticut on July 2003.
I spoke to my lawyer and he said we'll get the paperwork ready by end of this month(Aug 2004) to apply for 7th year ext. My wife is currently in India on 2 months vacation and will be back 3rd week of Sept. She is on a H4 visa. My lawyer says it is advisable to wait for her return and use the new I-94 card she will get stamped at airport entry.
Am I safe in terms of time before my current H1 expires to get my 7th year extension ?Should I have my wife get back here ASAP ? Should I have the 7th year H1 when my current H1 exipres ?
