I am new to this forum. Looked around to see if this query had been posted by anyone before, but did not find anything.
My question....I entered USA in Feb 1999 on H1 along with my spouse who also entered the USA on a separate H1. My labor application was filed in 2002 and currently it is in the Federal office. In view of the delays in processing the labor applications, I doubt if the labor application will be cleared by the end of this year.
In Feb, 2005, I will be completing my 6 years in the USA. Getting a 7th year extension for myself should not be a problem hopefully since my labor application has been in process for more than 365 days.
However, is there a way we could get a 7th year extension for my spouse ? She will also complete 6 years on H1 in the USA in Feb 2005. If it is possible for her to get a 7th year extension, any additional info will be appreciated. If she is unable to get an extension on her H1, what other option does she have (besides going back to India...})
