Here's my friend's situation....

my i-485 is still pending but H1B will be expired in mar05. EAD has not been used. wonder if i need to renew the 7th H1B to keep the legal status or can just start to work for EAD once 6 years H1B is expired. my lawyer suggets to renew 7th H1B. any suggestion will be appreciated
 
Don't renew H-1B until Feb05. Keep H-1B as a backup in case I-485 is denied and also if you can afford the extension of H-1B.

Keep EAD/AP as a backup as well. Don't do anything right now. Hope you get approval before the renewals.
