7 th (1 )year calculation

Hi,
7 th year H1 extension is for 1 year and then again we may go for another 1 year like that...

7 th year (1 year extension) period is from the date of H1 petition
after 6 year (OR)

from the date of approval?

anyhelp to clear my confusion greatly appreciated.

The 7 th yr extension starts from the end of 6 yrs of H1.

If I am applying on 08/01/2003 ,(my 6 th year will expire on 10/23/2003),
since H1 process taking 7-8 months when I get the approved H1
actually another 4 moths only left for 8 th year extension.

am I right?

Ur 7 th yr extension will be till 10/23/2004.
