6 month after stamping still waiting for the plastic card

6 month after stamping still waiting for the plastric card. Is this normal? I did change the address after stamping and send VSC letter about the address change. Is there anyone out there who has the same situation?Should I do something else? Your input is greatly appreciated.

Changing address in VSC might not work (blame it to stone-age USCIS). District office where you got your passport stamped processes plastic card. The physical file for I485 at VSC might not be accessible for them. I did change address between stamping and receiving card. I was asked to write a letter to the district office where I got stamped mentioning my A# and I485 receipt numbers. I did, and I got my card to new address.
