My feelings/experiece ..

Akbari,

I just became current "again" today after 2+ years in retro. To be honest I am pretty nervous and anxious. I am just hoping to get out of this mess this month. I am a little paranoid about the potential screwups the TSC is capable of. I must say that I am a little more paranoid than others because of my personal experiences with TSC.

Anyway, good luck to all of us and lets hope that we can get through this together.

I will keep everyone posted on any progress.

Yet to see any approvals notified in this forum. May be USCIS is still in deep sleep

What do you think? Today is 1st June the first day when they start touching the cases that have become current for visa numbers. Wait to see the results in coming weeks , not on 1st June as many were expecting. Those are irrational expectaions based on false hopes.
BTW right now time is 9.00 EST so TSC should be 8AM, IO's must be on thier ways to work, in metro, on roads in cars etc etc, so dont expect an approval before they reach the office

For a person who has joined this journey in 2007, it must be difficult to understand the frustration of people who have gone through this agony of current in 2004 --> retro in 2005 --> current again in 2005 ---> Unavailable in 2005 --> Retro in 2005 --> current again in 2007 cycle

Agony based on baseless hopes ??? I am sympathetic towards your situation but dont carry false hopes based on nothing which will be more agonizing. Why are u so bent upon getting GC, as such with everything falling apart in this country it is not sooooo attractive at it used to be. I dont say that means withdrawing your application but why grey your hair thinking about it all the time. Lastly apply in top EB categories if possible.

I do have reasons for my hopes:
During my interview in Sept 2005, I was told my case is approvable but has to wait for visa# availability.
My case file is with the reviewing officer since May 16 (as I was told during my infopass on May 22)
I do not need your sympathies! If you think everything is falling apart in this country and it is not sooooo attractive, you are at liberty to look for other options. Do not bother us in this forum!
