Hi guys,

I'm well over the 540 days date, and would like to know if I can do anything about it.
I know I cannot speedup my process directly, but there are some things people do, and I would like to know if they are really useful.
For example:
Asking the local Senator to inquire about my case, is it useful?
Ask my lawyer to contact BCIS and get the real status on my case. Or any other action I can make.

If you believe this is all useless, I won't waste my time on it either, and just keep waiting.

It so happens that there are some september 01 cases still pending ...

Plus I've tried everything except calling my senator/congressperson. I'm trying to be patient.

shirubio,

In my opinion, you should approach your senator since you have crossed the 540 days. Think about this, what if it makes a difference and you get approved soon. If not all you have to do is wait. What are you going to lose?

Good Luck!

shirubio,

Have you ever called the BCIS regarding your case? If so when was the last time you called and what did they say? It would be helpful to know whether your case has been assigned to an officer or not....

I only contacted the BCIS once, for a change of address, never to ask about the status of my case.

However, I contacted the Senator's office today, and they will send me a Permission Form, so I can authorize'em to query BCIS about my case. I hope it helps.

Thanks.
