551 Stamping in LA

Hello Gurus,


My I-485 got approved but i moved to LA very recently and taken a infopass appointment at LA office.

can Anybody share their experience of 551 stamping from LA. As i am having trouble with my stamping my case is like this. On first appointment i didn't took my residential proof so need to reschedule my appointment on second time i went fully prepared with my residential proof but this time the officer said as I am staying in pasadena I need to go to 888,Welshire bldg she also gave me immediate appointment mentioning the DH code 02 and reason for appointment is Biometrics for (I-551 card production). I need to go again their if anybody in similar situation please furnished me what are the next steps. Now will they stamp my PP with 551 ? very confused and frustred as this being my 3rd visit for 551 stamping everytime it took 3-4 hrs :confused: :mad:

Please help me urgently as my next visit is schedule on coming friday 6th april 06

As far as I know USCIS does not do 551 Stamp in your passport these days. If you have not done your biometrics already then you just have to go to the Application Support Center and give your biometrics. Normally a card is mailed within a few days of biometrics. I hope this helps a bit.
