540 days and still waiting for I-485 approval

I filed my I-485 under EB3 category in Sep. 1999 with FP done in Aug. 2000. Vermont Service center says it takes 540 days to process this case which I have already completed. When I spoke to IIO last week, he told me that since your company has changed it\'s name, this case is on hold and they are waiting for some guidelines for similar cases which will come sometime around Ist of April. Has someone experienced similar kind of problem and what can I do or ask my employer to do in such a situation. Needless to say it\'s frustrating. Any information will be appreciated.

Did you receive an RFE in this regard ?
I am in the same situation though I was not clearly explained by the IIO as to why it is getting delayed.
I am thinking of approaching my company to request that they send some proactive RFE about the company name change.

Sure seems like a lot more people got the same reply for the IIO.
In fact, there is an article about some regulations on hold because of the change in Presidency.

I am also in the same situation. Applied for 485 in sept 99 and FP done in July 2000. I talked to IIO last week and she told me that it will take 30 days. I do not know how accurate is this inf.

There is no RFE as of now. I asked IIO about RFE and he said there is none.
