5 months - H1 Xfer yet not approved

My H1 xfer application has been pending at BCIS for nearly 5 months now. How can I find out more about the case. What can the attorney do? Do they have access to BCIS officials. can they find out more information or are they just limited to seeing the update on the website like me ?

Any information will be very helpful.
