5 months after FP, no interview yet

I was FP for my N-400 case back in early June, so far, no interview letter yet. According to CIS through InfoPass, CIS is still waiting for FBI name check result.

Is there anyway I can do to have my name check completed? I have written to FBI, cisombudsma office, many times, no response. I am very frustrated about this.

Do you have any suggestions?

Officially, you are not outside of USCIS' normail processing dates, which is March 15, 2006 for N-400 applications. USCIS recommends waiting for another 30 days before following up. So, all you can do now is wait and see. More importantly, since you have a pending name check situation, your case is not even considered as part of USCIS backlog. Keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.
