Its my day to say APPROVED!!!.
Pretty long period with with varying heartbeat has come to an end.
I have received my approval emails today. 10/14/04. Details on signature. Rupnet updated.
My wife's 485 is still pending.
I got RFE on 09/06/04.
Birth Certificate, 2 months paystubs, EVL, last entry visa copy,
passport personal data pages copy, 2003 personal Tax returns with W2, and medicals (medicals were submitted separate from original 485. However doctor missed one signature. So I had to submit again.)
LUD changed for me and wife on 08/25/04. This should have been the date where officer looked at file for RFE. Online message never changed to RFE issued. (I have seen this situation for me and couple of others. CIS is not changing online message all the time. May be to avoid scanning. May be not. So it is adviceble to be on the lookout if your LUD changes)
RFE response received by USCIS on 09/21/04. LUD changed and message changed to RFE received.
Wife's LUD still remains 08/25/04 with 'Finger prints review received' message. I hope that
her RFE was not lost in mail. As messages are not updated properly we will not know.
You may have not seen me posting many messages congratulating approvals. However I always had that 'One of us is out of this hole' feeling whenever I see them.
My biggest thanks is for Mr. Rajiv Khanna for bringing our community together through this site and for all the hard work put in to backlog reduction battle.
Also My special appreciation and thanks to Ginnu, Joyd and all others for answering many of my questions.
I made a considerable contribution to the fund collection when it was started. Dsatish, you made a great effort to do the collection (also some of the others). You are free to decide what to do with my portion.
I wish everybody good luck and fast approval.
I will post my stamping experience. I will regularly visit the site and help others with what I can.
Will update situation on my wife's case.
