Hello Immigration gurus,

    Is anybody out there in the same boat as I am? Is it too soon for me to expect to hear anything from INS. I also have the folowing questions:

    1. I applied for 485 (EB3@VSC on O1 Visa) in Feb2000. Would this be my priority date or the one from Labor Cert. is my priority date?
    2. I have gone through Finger Printing process for Canadian Immigration about 2 years ago. Would this anyway speed up FP process (no notice for FP yet) for American Immigration process?
    3. I have heard horror stories that it\'s now taking about 3 years for I485 approval for similar cases as mine. Please tell me it\'s not true?
    4. Can anybody post updates with similar situations as mine?
    5. My wife is a Canadian but is a dependent of mine for Amer. Immigration.. would it be any faster for her?

1. Ur Priority Date is the Date on the Labor Cert
2. I dont know if Canadian Finger Printing helps, as I know
   they are also sent to the FBI, but I dont know if it helps
   ask ur lawyer
3. Thats true, EB3 takes a long time
5. Was ur wife born in a Country other than India/China,
   if yes, then you could charge ur priority date to her country
   of birth, INA Sec 202.b.2 I believe that is the section which
   talks about it.
