485: USCIS Reasons for Random Approvals ???

Hi Guys,

To make sense of the randomness that Service Centers follow, the following reasons make sense to me. Any more that are factors ?

1. Concurrent Filings processed faster than Non-concurrent (For 'Efficiency' per USCIS)
2. Priority Date Retrogression for certain applicants
3. FBI Name/Fingerprint check issues

Other than these it seems logical that RFE/FP/Approval should follow in Date Sequence, Right ? Are there any reasons used by USCIS for the randomness ?

This discussion could offer some sense in the aparent chaos.

Thanks
Raju

Complexity of the case
Completeness of the applications
Complexity of the RFEs that need to be mailed out
Time an applicant takes to reply to an RFE
Complexity of the RFE reply
Different officers processing speeds
Dependent processing

Those are just other issues that I was able to think of in a second, I'm sure that there are many, many more.

How about local weather at Lincoln, Nebraska when the case was processed?

Good point. They are under a Winter Weather Advisory tonight, so maybe they'll all get to stay home tomorrow ;)
