485 Transferred to NYC How Long for AP

Our I-485 was transferred to NYC
Applied for AP at VSC Early Feb/2005
Case got Transferred to NYC after 3 Months
Now there is no news of AP Approval Yet
How does this work? Do they always have to call
for interview at NYC for every single application?
That was the case with my EAD renewals
Is there a way to get AP for emergency?

Any one who can shed some light will be greatly appreciated
 
From what I understand it is not very easy to get an emergency AP. I am in similar boat as you - my case was transferred to NYC, then applied for renewal of AP/EAD in early February. No word on either. Had to do a walk in for EAD but there is no walk in for AP.

In order to get an emergency AP you would really have to have good documentation to back up your emergency.

I have taken a infopass to see if they will be willing to
listen. Have you tried going to NYC to see if they would issue AP?
I dont have any documentation to support urgency
I have my brother's marriage coming up June end
Is that a sufficient reason?
Whats your feeling about how much time they would take to issue AP
from NYC. They called for EAD in about 3 weeks time after case was transferred.
But for AP it is already 1+ month after transfer
