Checked with BCIS yesterday. San Antonio local office is currently processing Sept.17, 2003 cases.

Did anybody in this forum go through a transfer of his file from TSC to SA local office and got approved by that same office.
If so, would you mind post your dates info, notably transfer date and approval date, so that the rest of us can have a rough estimate of SA processing time? Thanks in advance for any piece of data.

Cheers!

My 2d reading point of I485 at SA...

Checked SA I485 current date processing at National BCIS number:

As of Feb.2, 2004 ----> Processing Sep.17, 2003
As of Feb.25, 2004 ---> Processing Oct.15, 2003

28 days progression in current date in 23 calendar days...Well, we're getting there...
Looks like I may just have a month and a half or so to endure the wait...I'll be close to a perfect three full years of %^@#$ wait...what a scam!

damerina,

It seems that SA district consider Transferred Date for processing. Did you talk with IIO for this matter? My case was transferred to Houston district but I understand they consider RD instead of TD.

just a quick remark!

Well I guess, it should not matter TD or RD. Waited long enough to endure any more pain. Didn't we?

This is insane...

Okay, got my third survey point of SA local office today:

As of Feb. 2, 2004 ----> Processing Sep.17, 2003
As of Feb. 25, 2004 ---> Processing Oct.15, 2003
As of March. 17, 2004 ---> Processing Dec.5, 2003

WHAT!?!?!?

So, I gently asked the IIO on the phone:

my case was tranferred on Nov.24, 2003...SA local office is currently processing Dec. 5, 2003...So, so, so....what happened to my case and how come I haven't heard anything yet????

Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, here comes the new twist, at least for me. I quote approximately and with some exaggerations:

"Well, Sir, I can't tell you what happened to your file yet because the rule says you have to wait the current processing date to be 30 days past your transferred date to,...to,... tooooo, (here, I thought to myself " to get approved automatically?!?!?!....Long Silence...")

...Heck No, stupid moron I am, "you have to wait thirty more days to be allowed to ask for an...INQUIRY... on what's happening (or I should say NOT) to your case...(Here, my arms fell on the floor...)

"And also because SA local office updated their current date YESTERDAY March 16, 2004 and because they do that only ONCE a month, basically you have to call back on April 16 (and not before!), to check again on SA current date and, and,...you got the rest of the story...

I remembered later that, last month, the other IIO supposedly already asked for an inquiry on my case...So, may be she did not... who knows now...does not make any difference anyway...

I am sick and tired of this B!@#$%IT, this perpetual change of rules and regulations, current dates that do not mean JACKS^%T and the total failure and inefficiencies of this service (...that I subsidy with my tax dollars: why not have the same folks that run IRS, run the BCIS...No delays and No seven-years to process your FIRST tax return in this country!!!!)

I am sick of it...

Sorry for the vent, folks, but I had to...

(May be I've been cursed??? Should I consult a Wizard??? :D

Good luck to all those 2001 cases still waiting...

could be worse

Our cases was transferred to San Antonio early Feb. and just recently my lawyer informed me that our I-485 cases were transferred again to Nebraska Service Center. Reason? No one knows. I am still in TX, no job change, no address change. It was requested by NSC according to SA office. I called 1800# and was told cases are still in SA. I dont even know where is our files now. My daughter's case is still with TSC, so SA send request to TSC to transfer it to NSC to be with us. What a mess! I tried to contact the 1800# twice to confirm my address and was told by the person on the phone that he/she can't view my address on file. The lady in 1800# even try to convence me that the whole transferring to NSC as well as seperating my daughter's case with us is "normal", even though SA office acknoledged they dont know what is going on and why NSC requested our files.

The 1800 # is completely useless and wast of time.

Meanwhile, I file my EAD newal with TSC and was transferred to SA recently. Don't know what SA is going to do with my EAD.

The whole system messed up. Dont know what to say.
:confused: :confused: :confused: :mad:

Well, may be not...

tsc77,

Effectively, on a first account, we could think your cases look worse than ours...but are they really??? Who knows and who can tell??? Apparently nobody in this administration...

To summarize both our current experiences with SA, your cases have been splitted up but they are experiencing some "movement" across Service Centers and...across country :D

On the other hand, We (my wife and daughter) are still apparently grouped together but...kept really well "glued" to SA local office desk..:o

So, who knows, among all your moving cases, one might experience the joy of being approved...somewhere, wherever that will be....:D

Just trying to cheer spirits up...:)

Anyway, it's all written...It is all happening for a reason that is beyond our understanding right now. May be we'll figure it out later...

Eh, at least I'm glad to have found a new web-buddy, partner in crime with SA local office... At one point, I thought I was talking to myself on this thread. :D

Cheers!!!!

Damerina

Thank you for your kind word. I am just so tire and sick of the whole process. I think my case should be one of the most simple cases, no job change, no address change, be in the US for more than 12 years... They just make the it so messed up...

Please let us know if you have any update.

Have a nice weekend.

Looks like our cases...

are really similar!:)

Me too, no job change, no address change, no anything else change...I've "only" been in this country for 9 years, so you beat me on this one. Other than that we are in the exact same boat!!!

I'll let you know when I have updates from SA...Hopefully soon!!!

Have a good WE too!

My application to Mesquite, TX was returned to me - they kept the I-130. They told me to send it to the SA office.

So I sent it in the beginning of March - and your right, the latest update is showing Dec. 05, 2003.

They have already cashed my checks of course - but should I receive a notice of I-485 receipt now that they have cashed my checks?? Or do I have to wait until they start processing my I-485 to get that?

I want to apply for I-131 for Advanced Parole but need receipt notice for I-485 to get AOS status for my wife.

Thanks.

My humble opinion would tell that they will start your I485 before you can get a receipt but honestly I have no clue! And between TSC and my case, it's basically a "hate-hate"relationship

:D

Got my 4th reading point for SA...

SA processing speed:

As of Feb. 2, 2004 ----> Processing Sep.17, 2003
As of Feb. 25, 2004 ---> Processing Oct.15, 2003
As of March 17, 2004 ---> Processing Dec.5, 2003
As of April 16, 2004 ---> Processing Dec. 28, 2003

So, my cases are now well beyond any delay excuses from TSC or SA local office, so a case inquiry was officially...filed...and again I still have to wait 3 to 4 more weeks for a status...

I think I am gonna contact my Senator's office now...This thing is way out of control...:mad:

Got I-485 receipt

Well, last Friday I received the A# and I-485 receipt notice for my wife. Also included was a request for the I-797 form (notice of I-130 receipt) and the information to get the Fingerprints.

The receipt for I-485 was dated April 5th - I had submitted the I-485 at the beginning of March.

So even though it will be a long time before they process, we can now apply for an I-131.

We were actually lucky because it came from a lawyer's office that it had been mistakenly delivered to. They forwarded on as a courtesy - could have been a nightmare if they just looked at it and said, "Not a client, through it away..."

I feel your pain...

damerina,

I feel you pain. I just received a letter from San Antonio office regarding interviewing for EAD. It is our 3rd ead renewal filed to TSC in later Jan and transferred to SA. I only need to bring photo ID and the interview letter. What is the point?

I think you should do something, such as contact Senator's office now rather than keep waiting.

Good luck to you and keep us posted.

TSC77:confused: :mad:

usamnt

I dont fully understand your question. Do you ask the average time to approve EAD or the average validation time? I think it only takes about 3 months to approve an EAD, but last time I filed renewal 6 month before the expiration date and it was approved in 3 weeks and I lost 6 month.

Plastic cards received...

Well,

TSC is going smoking fast now...at least on my case. We received all of our plastic cards (valid 10 years) exactly 12 calendar days after our passport stamping. Amazing speed...not use to such an efficiency with TSC...
I won't complain. It looks like they are trying to make it up for my too many years in the waiting.

Anyway, the past is the past, looking forward now!

Good luck to you all who are still waiting for their approval. It'll come soon!!!

Cheers,
Damerina
