485 status updated - meaning?

Current Status:

"On April 24, 2006, the document we made based on the approval or
registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom
issued."

- can anyone say what does this mean?

I called the national CSC# and the gentleman informed me that this means that my I-485 case has been approved and this yet-to-arrive mail should contain that message and the necessary documents.

Still hard to believe and I will only believe after I open the mail :)
crossing my fingers!

my 485 status got updated on 20th of october as same message what you have just posted..after couple of days i received biomatrix code3 for fingerprinting.

DEGuy, thanks for the info, it's very helpful. I actually figured .. the people answering the phone on the uscis national number, aren't as knowledgeable as some people here. What bothers me is that instead of admitting that he/she doesn't know what that message means, they'd just say anything, which could be very missleading.
 
USCIS, what a mess!

I got the letter today, it's for biometrics appointment.

Get this, the letter was initially sent out on 4/10/06 with RD 4/6/06 to my old address, which I changed 14 months ago, I used AR11 form, called and changed address, went to the local ASC and they have my new address - still they sent to my old address.

Then it was returned to the TSC, TSC then mailed me to my new address. I got it today (Fri) and the appointment date is for tomorrow, Saturday April 29th. If I did not get it today, I couldn't be there on time and they would reject my case!

I don't know what these people smoke all year long! I saw a list of things to do after changing address. I am going to follow that point by point.
