485 RFE - PD not current

My wife recieved an RFE for 485. I don't know what the RFE is.
My PD is not current. Should I take this as a good news that they are atleast looking at our files, or is this something common and gc approval is still a long wait.

From what I understand, USCIS will adjudicate your 485, but will keep it in suspension until your PD is current. I would imagine that as soon as your PD becomes current, they will either approve it or send you an RFE for medicals (if it has expired).

Does it say anything specific, like FP, official documents?

You will continue to see and receive RFE either for FP, documents and/or AOS interview if your PD is not current or in this long journey...

It's a good sign at least your case is in the process or on the waiting list.
