485 receipt

The long and frustrating wait for 485 begins now . Can anyone please tell me how long is it taking to get the receipt from INS once the application is filed?

I think INS improved a bit now a days. I've filed for my spouse

they seem pretty fast in sending out receipt these days..
i got it in 1 week.
