485 Receipt Notice for Wife

I just got our 485 receipts from attorney. My wife's last name in the 485 receipt notice is her maiden name. Is that normal?

No.. it has to be her current last name , if that is what you gave in your 485 application.. Check with ur lawyer for a copy of 485 app.

The USCIS does not decide the last name. Check the application forms that you'd submitted (if you have copies of the same). Or check with your attorney if he'd mistyped the last name. The receipt notice will reflect the name that you'd given in your application.

Thanks everyone. I'll call my attorney right away. He might have confused it with my wife's passport and didn't see the amendment inside.
