485-receipt date Sept. 2005-Still not processed???

Hello,
My lawyer had submitted I-485 in 2005 with a number of other forms. It shows a receipt date of sometime in mid-Sept. 2005. Every other form has been processed and approved while this one is still pending. It was moved to another service center about 6 months ago, but I have not heard anything.
I asked my lawyer a few times but he replies [and for that reply it cost me $250 each time in lawyer fees] that I should check the online status on the uscis website which I have been doing. I have paid almost 7k so far in total costs and though it is all worth it- but I am getting a bit exhausted of running around and want to know if anyone knows how long it may take or does its transfer to another service center means that the processing will start all over again?
On the uscis website it shows that they are now processing I-485 that have sept. 2006 receipt date [a year after the recepit date on mine]. I have also gone for biometrics twice already. Thanks.

I am not sure which service center you are but I think the VSC is processing July 2006. It takes nearly 6-8 months to process. Provided you had a change in the service center, things are probably in the right range. Hopefully you'll recieve in coming few weeks/months

Real question is July will make all 2002,2003 and so on PDs to file their 485s....Will cases filed in 2005 with PD of 2004 or later get first priority compared to 485s which are being filed now with PDs of 2004 or 2003 or before
