485 RD 10/26/2002 Approved!

Hi All,
My 485 has approved after endless wait. After such a long wait I feel like I have earned it so it feels like any other day. I would have been very happy if I got it in a short time like many of us did.

It has been quite a journey specially after I filed 485 company got bought three time, survived 4 rounds of massive layoffs, had to relocate from East coast to West, moved into technical support from development to save the job. Now it is all past and I can move on to anything I really want to do.
To 2001 and 2002 folks who are still waiting-- hope every one approves soon.

We have almost the same dates, but mine is still pending. I had my 2nd fingerprint on sept. 15, 2004 too. The online message never changed.

Can you tell me the FBI email address or phone number?

What is LUD? Did you actually filed AC21?

I am still under h1 working for the green card sponsor, but thinking about filing EAD now. I want to change job. Will filing EAD working for another company affect green card in any way if I am the main applicant?

Is FBI name check the same as fingerprint review? the usual procedure after one has his/her fingerprints taken? Or it is some final procedure before green card is processed?

Congrats. VSC seems to be approving 2002 cases. Seems like they are clearing some backlog ! Hope they atleast follow the ND order

No, FBI Name check is a seperate process that will be initiated by USCIS, usually with in a month or 2 from you 485 application date.

My case is pending and I don't know the reason. My lawyer doesn't tell me anything. How do I find out if I am stuck at FBI name check or somewhere else?

And what is LUD?

Dorry : LUD stands for Last update date:

If you create your account(which is free of cost) at cis.gov. you can create you profile with you EAC number in it. It'll tell you when your case was last touched updated. hope this helps.
