Dear Members,
I am requesting guidance on behalf of a friend who does not have easy access to the internet:
Basic Info:
- Family sponsored GC - My friend's mother is the primary GC holder ( for 10yrs) and sponsored him and his brother Atul (over 21). He and his mother are both in US, while the other son Atul is in INdia.
- Atul has the final interview scheduled in INdia in Jan 2004.
Q1. Does anyone know what is asked at these consular interviews in a family sponsored case?
Q2. If all goes well does he get the "stamp (551)" on his passport? How much time will after approval he have before he has to enter US (I have heard 6mos)?
- my friend is getting married in April 2004 and he and his mother want to go to INdia from Feb 1 - April 15.
Q3. Will the mother's (primary sponsor) travel be a problem for Atul? Will Atul have trouble entering US if his primary sponsor is outside the country? If Atul enters US while the primary sponsor is out of the country, will there be any negative consequence on his receiving the card?
If you can shed any light on these questions, please help.
Thanks and Regards.
