The Processing dates have moved to December 2004 @VSC. Any thoughts on whether this is a good sign for Priority Dates Nov?

Any approvals at VSC???

The processing dates have indeed moved from Sept to Dec 04. Has anyone received anything from CIS who have filed for 485 during this time? I have read in other posts that if the name check and FP are cleared and CIS is processing past your RD, you will be interviewed and told that you are approved but due to visa number availability you will have to wait until it becomes current  . Please post your aprovals or if you have heard anything from VSC as this is the only way to check to see if they are still doing something.

Useless

I fail to see how this approval date has any meaning whatsoever now that the REAL date ruling the approvals is dependent on retrogession. Maybe they are on their way to meet the elusive "6 months" goal ... doesn't matter if the 100,000s applications are simply sitting and waiting for years. USCIS can still claim they are doing their job fine!

You are absolutely correct ...

Shaf,

I beleive you have are spot on in your assesment. My lawyer recently confirmed that the USCIS does not consider Retrogressed cases as part of the backlog. The USCIS is exploiting this loop hole to inflate their processing times. I would not be surprised if all this retrogression is being done with the blessing of USCIS, DOL and DOS. They have all joined hands to make sure that every precessing center reaches the 6 month processing time that Bush promised would be achieved by 2006. From what I can see, this is a dirty game of politics and manipulation. We are caught in the middle of this mess. I am convinced of this.

I also believe that the PD cutoff dates will move only after all centers are within the 6 month processing period and a big presentation has been made to the Congress and President. Once all this is done the PDs will move a bit and processing dates will again begin to slide. If at that time someone will question the sudden reversal in processing dates the USCIS will state that they had reached the 6 month deadline but due to PERM and other such excuses they are again facing a backlog beyond 6 months. Its a brilliant plan my friends. I am willing to bet the world that this is the real reason behind our suffering.
