485 Pending since 2001 .....pl advise...

My I485 was filed in November 2001. Since then I had finger print done twice......called several times to 800 # but no update.......
Please advise.....that what are my options....
Will this be of any help if I go to VSC.....do they acknowledge walkin requests...

Follow up with a congressman..expedite request to USCIS ( search this forum for key workd expedite ) and initiate a name check with FBI...
 
Did you get your name check cleared? If not, searching on this forum to get more information about name check.

You must contact your area congressman. Visit the website and type in your home zip code. Most of them have their website and in it it says "help with immigration application delays" it seems like they are expecting people to contact them. Good luck.

This is most unfortunate

Cases like these are most unfortunate.

I somehow just can't bring it to believe that folks are facing this
situation where VSC won't even open files/cases that are 3 years old,
while I observe that they are happily and merrily approving 2003 & 2004
cases.

Nothing can be more unscrupulous.

Is there no way we can get ourselves together ? I mean get our act
together ?

Is it really that hard or scary for folks like these to get together and really
do something ?

Maybe I am just repeating myself....it just shames the hell out of me
to stare at this kind of unscrupulousness and at the same time hearing
only sneers and jeers and utter quietness and a sense of complete
acqueiscence from my fellow applicants.

Dsatish, Rajum..etc.. if you are listening....I suggest let's stop all this faxing
stuff; let's talk amongst ourselves and meet the VSC director at Vermont.

I really don't think we can get out of this situation by any other means !
