I have my H1 Valid till October 2009 but my visa on my passport has been expired. I have applied for GC thorough another company, my 140, AP, EAD has been approved and 485 is pending and I haven’t joined this company yet, I am planning to join them only after my 485 is cleared till then I wanted to maintain my H1 status. I am also planning on a trip to INDIA by this April 2008.
During my trip INDIA, I am planning to go for stamping as well. For this reason; do I need to mention my Alien number on the visa application? Since my H1 employer and GC processing company are both different, will this cause any problem for my stamping?
Can I use the GC processing company AP and still be on the original company H1? Is using AP means visa status change (i.e. from H1 to EAD)? Will I be loosing original H1 ?
Since my GC processing company and H1 employer are different, what kind of documents I need to carry for my H1 Stamping and re-entry? Do I also need to carry any specific documents from the GC processing company?

What will happen if my 485 is approved while I am outside of US, can I still use my H1 to reenter?
