Would like to know if there are complications with my application for unplyment benefit under EDD.

485 application is pending for almost 7mos now. I got laid off. I filed unemployment thru EDD and now got a letter confirming that EDD will send me certain amount weekly as my benefit.

will there be any complications with regard to my gc application?

Please give me your thoughts about my case.

I would not take it. If my memroy is correct, there is a regulation about people having no GC or Citizenship should not receive any federal benifits. Doing so might jeopardize your GC or Citizenship later on. Please ask an experienced attorney about this. I mgiht be wrong but would like to play at safe side.

I do not think it is a problem.

Please get a same or similar job as soon as possible and avail AC21 benefits to keep your GC process alive.

There are two kinds of unemployment benefits. One is from the company and another is from the government. The one from the company is o.k. to take. However, taking the one from the government would have some problem later on if you have no GC or Citizenship. Again, this is very tricky area. Please ask experienced attorney for further advise.
