485 Pending and sponsoring H4 - Help PLS

No issue. As long as you have valid H1 you should be fine.
do not see problems for H4; but what about the GC process. will she be in EB category as your dependent or you need to file for her GC in FB category after you get your citizenship.

Since his 485 is pending I think he can still add his wife as dependent for her GC.
