I have in a interesting situation and so have a quick question:
My wife was born in China and holds a chinese passport and mine's from India (born in India).
My wife's 485 is filed as a dependent on my application (both filed at the same time concurrent 140/485 EB3 VSC, PD 7/2001 etc see signature for more info).
Currently PD cutoff dates for EB3 China are ahead of EB3 India - so would she be processed under the China time lines even though she is filed as a dependent on me? Or since the primary applicant's PD is not current yet, would processing will have to wait on her i-485 too?
I am asking this because yesterday and today we saw some LUDs on her i-485 (the msg didn't change but just the update dates). Ofcourse, I didn't have any LUD changes as one would expect.
Has anyone been in a similar i-485 situation with the husband and wife from different countries etc and both applying for a greencard... if so, pls. share any relevant experience
