485 national processing times

Does anyone have any idea why is the national processing time for I 485 different for different suboffices. for example Santa Ana and Los Angeles offices are under CSC Permanent Residence
but the time for Permanent Residence Filing until apporval I-485
for santa ana is 156days and LA is 548days . Does that mean cases in Santa Ana will be approved faster then LA after getting the receipt date.

Processing time CSC vs LocalINS office

All employment based I-485 cases are processed by ServiceCenter (CSC). Some other types of cases (family based etc) will be processed by local INS (see I-485 instructions on where to file). As most of the cases in this area of the board are EB based one should not worry about that difference in processing dates for local INS offices unless a case is transferred to local INS for interview. Note that it takes a lot longer to get an interview scheduled in SFO compared to San Jose becasue of difference in case load at local INS offices.

LA interview q?

Does anyone have any recent experience with LA office interview. How long does it take from RD to approval with interview at LA?
