485 latest approval trend at TSC

By seeing some approvals of 485 recently from TSC, I can say:

(1) most recent 485 approvals are 2002. Very litter 2003 or 2004 got approved.
(2) It looks they stop concurrently approval totally.
(3) They send out a lot of FP notice and prepare for the mass 485 approvals after they clear the 140s. Current FP is sent out up to Aug/Sep 2004.
(4) After FP, you can averagely wait for 4-6 months to get approved for your 485, not 2-3 months we hope.

Just some thoughts i have, i hope i am wrong on the bad side.

if you see immigrationwatch.com there are lots of 2004 I-485 being approved too. But you will have to take the figures at the website with a pinch of salt as it might not give the entire picture. Lately they have stopped updating till they correct some errors.

I agree

Yes, correct observations and conclusions, i would say. Despite reporting processing times of the 03/04/2003 they are in reality clearing up 2002 cases

How did you arrive at this conclusion? Thanks.

Approvals seem to be based on ...

Guys,

my two cents ..

I think that the current trend for TSC is purely based on current PDs. Within current PDs they are approving the older cases first (2002) but they are also working on the newer cases (2003 and 2004). Needless to say they are unable to get to many of the 03 and 04 cases because of all the 02s that are still pending. Things should move along more quickly for 03s once most of the 02s are approved.

All of the above might be completely wrong though. TSC is capable of anything and its nearly impossible to accurately indentify a trend. I am just taking a shot in the dark.

cheers,

saras

I believe once everything is ready, and your PD is current, TSC will process it quickly. A lot of old cases pending there is because their security check are not cleared.

one good experience

I hope my experience gives you guys some hope. TSC processed my I-485 very quickly.

PD: 8/15/03
RD: 6/30/04
FP: 3/02/05
AD: 3/24/05

Yes, approval in 9 months. I know this is an exception to the rule, but I do think they are speeding up processing times for I-485s that have been filed in 03+ since they have pushed back the priority dates for people from China, the Philippines, and India (which truly sucks for these applicants).

Now if only Infopass would let me schedule an appointment for the passport stamp!

A sincere good luck to everybody here.

I had a similiar experience also. Looks like if PD is current and if FP was done in March 05, people are getting the approvals.

RE infopass, I had trouble for 2 days before on advice from a forum member, I tried at 5.00 PM EST and got the appointment for April 14. I am assuming you are trying for Charlotte. I would say start trying between 4.55 and 6.00 PM EST. Make sure your clear the cache before the next try. Additional info also could be found on the following link. Good luck on you PP stamping.

Thanks for the advice, Jaguwar. Sure enough I managed to book an appt. this afternoon for Charlotte...bright and early on April 18th. Good luck to you too!
