485 job change question

hi ,
i got my 2nd EAD Approved by my Previous employer(Consulting Company) , who is a sponsorer of the GC ,
Previous Employer could not find a project for me @ that point of time(Nov 2003) ,so i had found a job for myself and
moved to the new company with similiar job description and around the same salary too.

my 485 Receipt Date is March 2003 . i did not file AC21.
Shall i find a contract job and move back to my Previous employer and hold on to him till i get my GC or shall i continue in this new job ? after having worked for the Previous employer for 5 years , i dont want to to risk the GC at the last moment .

Could you Please advice on what course of action shall i take

You are OK

It seems there have been more than 180 days between your I485 had been filed (receipt notice date) and you changed jobs. This is most important thing.

AFAIK, you were suposed to file AC21. But then as I see not all people do this. I would strongly recommend you talk to the lawyer.

IMO, beyound this there is no imigration related reason to go back.

i was in dilema ,wether to go back to the old emeployer , leaving this permanent job . i will stay put ,and wait ,i heard some oct02 cases being approved looks like they are doing 4 months at a time . mine is in March 03.

Yes !

My I140 is approved a while back , it has passed 8 months before i switched my companies ! if u think me switching back to old company will minimise risk,i will join it back again,its just that , have to work strenous hours and weekends ,with family ,but will go ahead and if thats going to minimise risk.

I would advise you to speak to an attorney and make absolutely sure that the new job is same/similar to the job mentioned in your labor.

If that's confirmed to be OK, you can stay here - no problems.
