485 is approved and H1B extension is pending.

Hi Everyone,

Our 485 is approved in July 2007 and we have received cards. On June 1, 2007 I have applied H1B extension and still pending. What will happen to the pending H1B extension application? Do I have to withdraw H1B application or USCIS will realize that my status is permanent residence and H1B extension will be denied? Please post your experience.

Nothing will happen negative if H1B approved.But you can withdraw the H1b.One of my friend had withdrwan the H1b ext after GC approval.BTW H1B dept is cooperative compared to GC dept. I will say get it withdrawn.

They are very disorganized and probably will eventually approve the H1B. Get it withdrawn so it doesn't create any confusion about your status at a port of entry.
