485 interview in eb2 case

Hi everybody,


I applied for my 485 under EB2 ,in July 2001. In May 2002 , I got an RFE for employment verification and paystubs. Since my old company got closed , So I submitted amended I140 application and employment letter as response to RFE. Now , in Aug , CSC has transferred my case to INS Los angeles for an interview .

My questions are as follows :

1.Is it normal to have interview in EB2 based cases , or is it a indication of some problem.

2.Approximately how much time does INS LA take to schedule an interview in such cases.

Your help will greatly appreciated.

Maybe you could have submitted your new EVL and paystubs under AC-21 showing that you actually changed jobs instead of the amended I-140 route.

Usually interviews are normal in the

family based cases not employment cases. Usually only 5 % of EB categories get interview calls but you may get interview calls in case of AC-21, Bad multiple FPs, anything like misdenenors, membership in the communist party, or possibility of illegal stay/work during time in the US.
