485 filed DOB question scares - Please advice

Hi Gurus, :confused:
My DOB certificate date is incorrect and I have got an affidavit from parents stating correct DOB and which is the same on passport and other legal documents.
My attorney had files my 485 application based on the dates on the passport and have submitted the application to USCIS along with the incorrect DOB certificate also with the Parents affidavit.
Now as I am seeing the forums, I am now scared as I hear USCIS considers primarily DOB certificate and not the Affidavits from parents.
Attorneys/Gurus, please advice me as I have filed the 485 aplication on June 30th and I dont know what the status is going to be. I did not recieve any information from USCIS.
Can I withdraw my 485 application and refile with the DOB certificate dates to avoid any confusion. How do I withdraw the application, and will USCIS send the papers back to me.
If I file later with new applcation, will they check the old information.

:confused: Gurus, Please advice as to what next I can do. Please let me know if you have come across or heard of this situation.

My 2 cents... I would urget to collect more affidavit from your neighbours for your original date of birth (as per passport) and keep it ready if you get an RFE. Though the birth certificate is considered the primary document, affidavit also considered incase of unavailability of birth certificates.

Is there any other supporting documets I have to provide apart from Afidavits.

Can you possibly email me the format of affidavit. My parents are in India. How can I get the affidavit from india. Does a scanned version work?

I am trying to do same. I have asked for scan copy once my family get them.
