485 filed at VSA, filed EAD for my wife, but I want to be on H1

I filed 485 for me, my wife and for my son. I want to continue on H1, but my wife wants to work. So, I din\'t file EAD for me, but filed EAD for my wife. is that OK? Somebody told me that, since my wife (currently on H4)file for EAD, I should also file for EAD.

Can somebody advice me on the above. Thanks in advance.

That is correct. You can remain on H1 while she can use EAD but not the other way around (i.e. you cannot use EAD while she wants to maintain H4 status).

One of my friend suggessted don\'t file EAD for H4 dependent unless
there are getting some good Job (good pay). He filed 485 himself,his wife and daughter. Still He is in H1.

That depends what job she want to get in.
I am on H1B and filed 485 in Oct 2000 and I filed for my H1B Extension in Dec 00 for another 2 year 4 months.
My wife is also on H1B with my company wants to work on EAD.
I applied for EAD for me and MY wife, I donot want to use my EAD and My wife can use it if she want to or if she is getting better or permanent job(now she is consultant).
I believe You can apply for EAD for both of u and If you want to use use it other no need, no harm, EAD does not disqualify u from H1B,
The day you start using EAD or AP then Your H1 Gets cancelled.
