I have read the FAQs and read many threads, but 
still some questions remain ...
A brief background:
I am on H1 and planning on filing for 485 for me and my wife who is on F1(graduating in August). I have a valid H1 stamp on my passport that expires in Dec 2008. We intend to travel in February 2008.
Please help us with some following basic questions (short Yes/No should be helpful as well):
1) Is it advisable to file for 485 if spouse is on F1?
2) If we apply for 485 will she lose her F1 status and be ineligible for OPT?
3) Can she work on OPT if 485 is applied and pending?
4) Can she change her status to H4 and apply for 485 at the same time?
5) Can she obtain a H4 stamp in India and then re-enter without an AP (even if 485 is pending)?
