485, ead, ap applications, Can files be lost ???

I filed 485, ead and ap in Jan and received the notice in Feb. Since that I haven\'t heard anything. I called IIO and was told all files are pending and haven\'t been assigned to an officer yet. I have a friend whose h1 application was lost in ins years ago. Is this likely to happen? Does any one has similiar experience? and any advice will be helpful.

whats ur date, mine EB2,AP and EAD NDs Feb8th.
waiting for aprroval, FP done.
it seems they havent touched Feb cases
any ideas why????/
