485 case updated on 07/15/04

Hi ,

My 485 application along with my wife and 2 kids application's where updated
on 07/15/04.
I logged into USCIS.gov and saw our cases been updated but the content has not changed i mean the message is still the same that ur case had been filed on Jun 30th it is till taking bla bla bla.

Could anyone help me if this means that our cases have been revieved or before approval this is the routine thing they do.
I am really concerned with no change in content but still says case updated.

I havent recieved not a single Finger Print Notice till date. Please advise me
what is the fate of our application .
 
Here are my details.

140 approved may 12 th 2004
485 RD JUN 18th 2003
ND JUN 30th 2003
EAD renewal submitted
No finger Print till date.
 
I think while signing up on the USCIS website, they do state that your LUD may change without the status changing. I think that is expected, my LUD changed as following
04/19/04 - around the time when they received my RFE reply
06/13/04 - I think they maybe opened my file for something
07/13/04 - Finally when my case was approved

So aLUD changing may be a good sign, I think it's always a good sign, it indicates, atleast someone opened it because they were bored or soemthing, but atleast it is not gathering dust untouched. But unfortunately it may not surely indicate an impending pproval.

Sometimes people's LUD changes, just to get their hopes up, but they have to wait for a long time for the actual approval.
 
I think they picked up your EAD and may approve in couple of days.
But don't know about 485
